ECHO III Instructions

Documentation

ECHO III papers will be published as a special issue of Acta

Polytechnica Scandinavica (APS) (editor Prof. Mauri Luukkala) in

the Mathematics, Computing and Management in Engineering Series MA,

edited by Prof. Reijo Sulonen. The Volume will be titled "Emergence,

Complexity, Hierarchy and Organizatio", Edited Papers Selected from

the ECHO III Conference".

Registration

ECHO III is one event in the series organized by ISSE. The

conference fees are USD 200 if paid by April 15, 1998 and USD 225

if after that date. They include a copy of the Proceedings, a

Conference dinner/banquet, lunches and a cocktail party. Additional

activities will be announced in due time. Checks should be payable

to ISSE (ECHO) and sent to Prof. George L. Farre. Materials for

registration and hotel reservations can be found below.

Travelling and Hotels

ECHO III has, as its official airline, the Santa Claus Airline

Finnair, with special conference service. Rooms for visitors are

booked at Otaniemi from Local Summer Hotel at campus according to

their contact to the organizer before May 30, 1998. Visitors are

responsible for booking downtown hotels by themselves. All travel

tickets should be booked by visitors.

Conference Auditoriums

The conference will be held according to the detailed program in

Helsinki University of Technology and at the Finnish Institute of

Public Management.

Travel Information: Helsinki is the Capital of Finland and

the Center of Cultural and Scientific Life. It is called the

daughter of the Baltic. It can be easily reached by air from

all important airports of the world. Finnair, the official

airline of Santa Claus and of ECHO III flies also directly

to Helsinki from many world centers.

Further tourist information and help in ticket reservations in

Helsinki is provided by Helsinki Tourist Information Office.
